The 2025 Shelton Art Walk is a full-day celebration taking place on Saturday, June 28th from 11 am to 7 pm.
Part of the Downtown Shelton Creative District, this annual event is a celebration of art and creativity in our community.
Experience the vibrant energy of local artists and vendors as they showcase their work—from paintings and sculptures to live performances and handmade goods. Stroll through the charming streets of downtown Shelton, where participating businesses will transform into pop-up galleries featuring visual art, installations, and demonstrations.
In addition to exhibitions inside businesses throughout downtown, visit the Art Market on Cota Street, with 40+ artists, crafters, and food trucks.
Enjoy live music, performances, and hands-on art activities, and connect with fellow art lovers in a celebration of creativity and community spirit.
This year’s event is bringing some exciting new additions!
Kick back in the Civic Center event lot with a cold beer or a glass of wine at our brand-new Beer Garden (civic center parking lot), open from 4–7 PM—the perfect spot to relax and enjoy live performances.
Plus, don’t miss the all-day live mural painting by local artist Molly Wheat Baker at Cota Street Antiques. Come watch the magic happen!

Event Overview
When is the event?
The Shelton Art Walk will take place on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
Where is the event located?
Throughout downtown Shelton, primarily along Cota Street and inside participating storefronts.
What does the Shelton Art Walk include?
A full day of art and celebration featuring:
Artist and retail vendors
Food trucks

A live mural

Artist showcases in downtown businesses

When did submissions close?
Submissions are now closed.
When will I hear back?
The Shelton Creative District will notify all applicants by May 20.
How do I confirm my participation?
If accepted, you must confirm via email by May 30.
How do I reserve my spot as a vendor?
Vendor spots are reserved by paying the booth fee and showing proof of insurance by June 5. Payment details will be sent via email to accepted vendors.
Insurance Requirements
Who needs insurance?
All retail and food truck vendors are required to carry event insurance.
Where do I get insurance?
We recommend ACT (Artists, Crafters & Tradesmen Insurance).

How much does it cost?
Event policies start at $49.
When is proof of insurance due?
Proof of insurance must be emailed to info@sheltonartwalk.com by June 5.
Artists, Performers & Vendors
What kind of artists/performers/vendors are you looking for?
We welcome:
Visual artists (2D & 3D), Makers and crafters producing handmade goods, Food vendors, Performers, Music groups, and bands for our event stage
Do I have to live in Shelton to participate?
No—participation is open to all.
I submitted an application. Am I automatically accepted?
No. All applications are juried by the committee. You will be notified by May 20.
Where will I be showing if I’m accepted into the Artist Showcase?
If selected to show your work in a business, the committee will notify you of your assigned location and introduce you to your host.
Where will I be vending if accepted as a vendor?
All vendors will be placed in our Art Market along Cota Street.
If I’m showing in a business, do I need to be present?
Artists are required to be present during the Artist Meet & Greet from 3:00–6:00 PM, and their work must be displayed for the full event (11:00 AM–7:00 PM). This applies only to artists showing in storefronts and is not relevant to vendors or performers.
Do I have to pay the business to show my work?
No. There is no commission taken from any sales made during the event.
What are the participation fees?
Payment details will be sent via email to accepted vendors.
Artist Showcase (inside businesses): Free
Outdoor Vendor Booth: $45
Food Trucks: $95
Are performers paid?
This is an unpaid performance opportunity. We are deeply grateful for the energy and talent you’re bringing to Shelton.
Logistics & Setup
Is this a rain-or-shine event?
Yes, the Shelton Art Walk will take place rain or shine. Please come prepared for weather conditions.
What time is the vendor setup?
Vendor setup details, including arrival windows and booth assignments, will be shared via email with all confirmed participants by June 20.
Are canopy weights required?
Yes. If using a canopy, you must bring a minimum of 15 lb. weights on each leg to comply with wind safety guidelines.
