KMAS RADIO INTERVIEW
The third annual Shelton Arts Walk is taking shape for Saturday, July 25, 2026 — and applications for vendors, artists, performers, and sponsors are open right now through May 31 at sheltonartwalk.com.
Megan Homewood joins Jeff Slakey at Marmo in downtown Shelton to talk about how the event has grown, more than 2,000 visitors and 80+ vendors last year, and why this is the first year the festival has a theme: "Frolic," a nod to the old Kit Kat Frolic gatherings hosted by the Hood Canal artist community. In this conversation: who can apply (sculptors, musicians, painters, fabric artists, all mediums), the difference between a vendor spot, an artist showcase, and a performer slot, how to register before the May 31 deadline, and what makes the Art Walk feel like a true Mason County gathering.

Inaugural Shelton Art Walk Deemed a Success | Journal Article
“The success of the inaugural Shelton Art Walk on July 27 might help the city secure state money to establish a Downtown Shelton Creative District.
The event, hosted by the City of Shelton, the Creative District Committee, and the Shelton Downtown Merchants, featured more than 80 local vendors and artists on West Cota Street. About 20 businesses exhibited works by artists. The city spruced up the street by painting new angle-in parking spaces and adding streetlights and 18-inch planter boxes with trees.”
